National news coverage has reported what is happening in Haiti as a result of the Jan. 12 earthquake. On a more personal note, Director of Multimedia Andy Yardy has been to Haiti to film the impact of this disaster on the Free Methodist Church. The people are hurting. They are suffering. There is action we can take.

Haiti Missionaries
On Tues., Jan. 12, 2010, the FMC lost three missionaries in the earthquake that hit Haiti. Jeanne Acheson- Munos, Gene Dufour and Merle West were doing what they loved, working alongside their brothers and sisters in Haiti. Look at what is happening in Haiti and what we can do to help make their vision for Haiti a reality – Haiti for Christ.

Thanks for posting this particular video. I was pleased to share this with Jeanne Acheson-Munos’ parents, R.B. and Dolly Acheson, 92, in their home this week. They appreciated seeing this and knowing that Jeanne was remembered this way by Bishop Roller at the site where she perished.

My morning has been blessed with phone calls, flowers and love from friends and family in honor of my 79 birthday and I am blessed but my heart is grieved with the pain and suffering of those who have experienced the earthquake in Haiti. Our hope and trust in Jesus our Lord and Saviour bind us together to be one in the days to come..Our Free Methodist people around the world are praying for those who are being servants one to another as the organized church join hands to help. We will not forget you.
